Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDARRELL WAYNE ROMANISHEN After a gift of an extra 15 years of life and a special six weeks of treasured time with his family on Thursday, February 23, 2006, Darrell went onto his next journey to be with Jesus. Darrell was born on April 21, 1964 in Beausejour, MB. He was raised on the third generation family farm by his parents, Alex and Doreen along with his three brothers, Terry, Glenn and Todd and one sister Cindy. Darrell learned a strong work ethic from both of his parents that he continued to prove even when his abilities began to fail him. He had a strong determination to remain independent and adapted his abilities and skills to different types of work. It was always important to Darrell that he overcome life's obstacles and continued to move forward. Darrell was a free spirit, he enjoyed sports (especially hockey and fishing), the outdoors, spending time with friends and most of all being A PROUD CANADIAN . Although strong willed in nature Darrell had a special gift of gentleness with children, the elderly, disabled and others living with life threatening illnesses. He was a helper in his own way to the under privileged and would always share what he could. Darrell is survived by his parents, Alex and Doreen Romanishen of Tyndall, MB, his sister Cindy and brother-in-law Clarence of Beausejour, his brother Terry and partner Christine of Winnipeg, brother Glenn of Beausejour and brother Todd and sister-in-law Tammy of Lorette. Darrell also leaves his treasured nieces and nephews, Carrie, Jeffrey, Candice, Tiffany, Jade, Ridge, T.J. ,Tiana, Ariel and Michael and great-niece Amber. Darrell will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by many close friends that were there for him at different times in his life; by his grandma Esther and many special aunts, uncles and cousins. Darrell's family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Dr. West and the Neurosurgery Team at the Health Sciences Centre for their ongoing care and medical procedures performed to give Darrell the quality of life he wanted during his time with us. To the nursing staff our deepest gratitude for your patience, caring and kind words during Darrell's stay in the hospital. Also to Dr. Garth Campbell a special thank you for the 15 years of care after Darrell's diagnosis in 1990. Upon Darrell's request and wishes he has become an organ donor to continue to help others. Darrell's life will be celebrated at a memorial service on Monday, February 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, Beausejour, with Pastor Roland Rendell officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined.
